I just read that the latest greatest version of Wordpress is out. It appears they have gone through a MASSIVE overhaul of the backend admin. I’m not talking small updates either… check out the screen shots that were posted at the Wordpress dev site.
If you’re familiar with Wordpress you’ll notice that the new Dashboard looks absolutely nothing like it used it, other than the fact that the content on the page is still close to the same. The colors and layout have completely changed.
It appears that the guys over at Happy Cog are responsible for the redesign and from the looks of it Jeffrey Zeldman, Jason Santa Maria, and Liz Danzico have given it some serious, serious lovin’.
I’m not installing yet. I’ll wait for the official release, but I have to say, I’m tempted.
