My Birthday & New Album

Today is my birthday. It is also my new album’s release day. How cool is that?

I am happy to be celebrating another year with you here on the blog. You’ve been with me a long time and I’m happy to have you here. It’s been a wild ride. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to give you a present.

Today my new album ‘Cowboy In The Sunshine’ is available everywhere. The album is as independent as it gets. I wrote, recorded, played all instruments, mixed, mastered, created artwork and released it with my own two hands.

The only thing I didn’t do was take the cover photo. That’s my big brother Jeremy Darras wearing my Dad’s cowboy boots. Taken by my Papa DJ Lafon in Ada, Oklahoma somewhere in the 1970s.

These eight songs and thirty minutes of music might be described as Southern Rock or Psychedelic Alt-Country. But to me it sounds like memories of growing up in Ada, Oklahoma mixed with what’s been going on in my head lately.
